What is Open Mock?

Open Mock is an open-source generator for fake chat screenshots, social posts, AI conversations, stories and emails across 49 platforms. Everything runs in the browser, with no signup and no watermarks.

MIT licensed. Use it at open-mock.vercel.app or run it locally with git clone, npm install and npm run dev.

1. 0122 chat generators, including WhatsApp, iMessage, Discord, Slack and Telegram
2. 025 AI chat generators: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok and Perplexity
3. 038 post and 8 comment generators, including Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and Reddit

FAQ

How do I use Open Mock?

Open open-mock.vercel.app and pick a generator. To host your own, clone the repo and run npm install and npm run dev, or connect it to Vercel with no environment variables.

Do I need an account, and is my data sent anywhere?

No signup is needed, and generation happens client-side in your browser.

What is the license?

MIT. It is for educational and demo purposes only and is not affiliated with any of the platforms it mimics.

How is it different from other fake screenshot generators?

It is open source and self-hostable, with no watermarks or signup, and covers 49 platforms in one app. It also exports video with animated typing, not just images.

Can I add a new platform?

Yes. CONTRIBUTING.md and docs/adding-a-platform.md explain how to add a generator to the platform registry.
